Eric Schott and John Charest Win Chemistry Awards
Undergraduate researchers Eric Schott and John Charest will be recognized with Chemistry Awards for their academic and research accomplishments.
Eric Schott will receive the Richard W. Fessenden Memorial award. According to the citation, “This award was established by the class of 1908 to be awarded to a senior chemistry major “who best exemplifies the twin attributes of high scholarship and citizenship within the chemistry department.”
John Charest will receive 2014 ACS Division of Organic Chemistry Undergraduate Award in Organic Chemistry. According to the citation, “This award is designed to recognize achievements by undergraduate students in organic chemistry and to encourage further study in the field.”
John Charest will also receive Departmental Recognition Award for 2014 for “classroom and research achievements at UMass”
